Your first appointment

Preparing for your visit

I want you to feel comfortable, supported, and welcome from the first visit. Here are a few things to know as you prepare for your first visit:

Telehealth Visits

All visits will be conducted via telehealth through the SimplePractice portal. You will receive an individualized link from SimplePractice via text and email prior to your appointment.

For the best experience, I recommend joining from a computer or laptop with a reliable Wi-Fi connection. If possible, find a quiet, private space where you feel comfortable speaking openly.

What to Expect During Your Initial Evaluation

The initial evaluation will last approximately 60–90 minutes. We will spend time getting to know you and discussing your medical history, mental health history, sleep, nutrition, family history, relationships, and how you are currently feeling. Together, we will develop an initial plan tailored to your needs and goals.

If you have a list of current medications or supplements, relevant medical records, or questions you’d like to discuss, feel free to have those handy.

A Note for Moms

If you have a baby, please feel free to have your little one with you during the visit. Babies are always welcome! Whether you need to feed, soothe, or tend to your baby during our time together, please know it’s okay to take breaks as needed.

Communication Between Visits

After your appointment, I will send you a message through the SimplePractice portal so you can reach me between appointments.

I recommend downloading the SimplePractice Client Portal app to make messaging and receiving notifications easier.

Please note that portal messages are intended for non-urgent communication and are not monitored for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please seek immediate assistance.

Questions?

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns before your appointment. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you along the way.
